Blakely~ One Month

Well we made it through our longest first month!! Not gonna lie, it has been a tough one! A lot of tears (on mine and Blakely's part!)  and long days, but we survived! I am thankful for my friends that I have been there to encourage us throughout this month and for all the "mommy support" I was surrounded with at all times :) I have to admit, it HAS gotten a lot easier in just one week!

Hey Blakely :)
    Just to give you an update on how you are doing so far..... First of all I want to THANK YOU for being such an awesome night sleeper! You sometimes even have to be woken up to eat in the middle of the night, because you sleep so good! You are mostly fussy in the afternoons, but since you are such an angel baby at night and in the mornings, your Dad and I forgive you :) You are already holding your head up and have been since you hit the 2 week mark! You are very strong!!! At your one month old check up today you weighed in at 8 lbs and 3.7 ozs and you are 21 inches long now. That means you have gained almost 2.5 lbs and 2.5 inches since your birthday!

You are a great traveler and have already taken one road trip to visit two of your great grandmothers in Selma! Tomorrow we are off to Birmingham to visit with your Aunt Sunny and Aunt Jamie... we are treating your to your first outing at "Olive Garden". One day you will see how amazing this place is and why we all love it so much. Two words... bread sticks and salad. I try not to spoil you rotten, but I love the fact that you love me so much..... You love to nurse, but you hate the bottle. I am working on getting you used to it, because you start the adventure of Day Care in a short 5 weeks! I am going to cherish every second with you, until I have to go back to work.....You are one amazing little man.
