25 weeks

www.thebump.com

Here is a link to Blakely at  25 weeks

Weight Gain: 18 lbs

How am I feeling??: Feeling good again and no problems to report here.. I have my glucose test in the morning at 8:30 and I hope to pass with flying colors. I also plan on asking the doctor If I can do my 4-d ultrasound next visit :) This is a free charge for my OB, so it's always nice to know that I get to see baby B one more time before he makes his arrival!

Foods I love: Nothing in particular really. Just FEED ME!

What I am looking forward to?: Baby showers and sprinkles galore! A lot of my favorite tiny people have birthdays coming up as well! My bud Meagan had her first shower today, we are excited about meeting our new little people in our very near future !!!

Carter and Barrett ( 25 weeks ) and Meagan and Charley ( 32 weeks )

I decided to start thinking ahead and got some things done I have been wanting to do before Barrett

1) I plan on spending lots of time in our bedroom, so I know curtains were a necessity for the brightest room in the house. TJMAXX is my jam. I promise to TRY to take it easy on maternity leave..... instead of cleaning out closets and using the 9 weeks off as a time to become a even neater ( is that even a word? ) freak than I already am. It's gonna be me, Barrett and lots of Netflix !

I also got some new "pretties" for the boy's bathroom. It's amazing what some fresh towels, a bath mat and a random baskets can do! Once again, jackbot at TJMaxx. I think I spent 37.00 bucks total on this room; that's a win in my book!!

We are also in the market for a new sectional sofa! That means that we will be selling a beautiful leather sofa and matching chair/ottoman very soon :) BOTLO facebook/insta/bloggers, It is in great condition and we hope to sell it fast once we find what we are searching for. I always seem to feel like furniture shopping is for the birds.... too many choices if you ask me!

Our buddy Jake is growing more and more each day! He is busy carrying a stick in this pic :)

See you guys next week!
Love always,

ANNOUNCEMENT

Baby T-nut officially has a name!! We have decided to name him/her Blakely! Either William Blakely or Blakely Elizabeth :) Now, if we can just wait until MARCH to see if Blakely will be a boy or girl! My sister told me about this place called Baby Waves in Columbus, GA that does gender prediction as early as 12 weeks! She went with H.A. and they predicted right....It is very tempting seeing that I will be 12 weeks in only 4 days! If we have to wait until my doctor wants us too, I will be almost 22 weeks until he find out the gender. Patience is a virtue here!

I have decided on a gender neutral nursery and am using this nursery as an inspiration. My sweet sister in law Janel has given us Addy and Ella Stuart's crib to use and it is beyond perfect. It looks a lot like the crib in the nursery pic. Since my taste is not matchy matchy and I like a mixture of fabrics and textures, I figured that a room like this would be perfect! Here is a picture of the room now......

This room used to be our "catch all" room. We still don't really use it much because our guest room is actually upstairs! I love the fireplace mantel in here, but I am not quite sure what to do with the actual fire place? The owners before used this room as their little girl's room so they left the mirror over the area. I am not sure how else to cover it? Now, if I can just convince the Mister to get that bed outta there, so I can put up the crib!!

Here are some bedding fabric options so far.........

And a rug that I like.........................
** This is just a start!! Hopefully I will have more ideas to come :)

George is getting excited too! Mom got him this cute shirt made; He is a little chunky after all the Christmas leftovers, so the letters are a little stretched out! !

~ You can get this shirt from this Etsy shop~

How am I feeling? Still feeling great!! I have been VERY tired recently, but I think the busyness of the holidays has something to do with that :)  I have had NO morning sickness and have only had mid-day sickness twice now.....smells really set me off! Mostly coffee and rotel dip. Random I know!
Next Doctor's appointment is in a week and a half..........

Until then,

Let's get funky!

I love a good deal. I love digging in baskets, and rummaging through old junk to find treasures :) I don't really like buying "new" things per se, however I do a lot of online browsing since I work 8 hours a day and I am not in the closest vicinity to many vintage/antique shops. Plus things are just too darn expensive when they are new lol! So instead of impulse buying online( which is so tempting at times), I have decided to gather up my ideas and creatively make a plan to find the things that will make our little home more "homey" :)  Let's take a little at a time.....starting with the living room

  1. lamp (s)
  2. pillows for the couch ( I want a pop of color, but I can't decide what color!)
  3. something to go over the couch.....cool mirror maybe?
Ideas are welcomed :) here is our current space........................

Entryway :  I found this wet-bar last year at my favorite antique place in Wetumpka, and Jason and I gave it a face-lift. It works as a good desk or bookshelf. I got the lamp there too :) The chest was found in my mom's garage and I love it. It's amazing how much these things cost if you were to buy one....... that is a treasure chest * no pun intended ;)*
Here George relaxes on the new new pin-stripped couch; This is our first purchase as a married couple:) We got the rug for a STEAL and the lamps are hand-me-downs. I love the coffee table, but Jason wants a wooden one..to make the room more ... manly?

Being the lumberjack that he is .....
i suggested he build us one :)

I like............

these pillows......Etsy always has pretty things
But once again...they are neutral!!

this lamp from ZGallerie.....something like this would be a great find

                Mirror from Restoration

We also thought about finding an old barn window and making it into a mirror.....
Then find other vintage mirrors to add to it........
Kind of like these but less pottery barnish and more old style?

As my husband sits across me singing along to commercials and eating a cheese and pickle roll up (and I know our pantry is not THAT empty) I realize that I must end my decorating rant and go get him some real food! I guess that is one down side to eating at 5:30....... You get hungry again around 9! Real World in 15..... Gotta love Jemmye. Bless her heart.

P.s. I TOTALLY forgot to introduce Oscar........... Me and my best buddy have found a new love for owls here recently, and this little guy is going to be traded off as we see each other :) he seems to bring happy to the home :)
