I know, I know.....

Hello Friends :)

It has been way too long ........But our little fam has just been so darn busy these days! We have been going non stop this month...but this weekend we took some time to chill out and relax a little - if hitting the flea market, babysitting, date night, church, the dog park, shopping, and house hunting counts as relaxation therapy ;) But, can I just say that the weather is absolutely PERFECT! I am not so much a fan of halloween, but Fall, that's another story! Fall means we are getting close to CHRISTMAS! and that makes me very excited :) As much as we would like to spend our first Christmas as a married couple in a our first home, we are taking our time doing as much "hunting" that we possibly can....... and let me just say that today.... We hunted some ugly creatures.... take exhibit A:

Ain't she a BUTE? Seriously, Was I in the childhood home of Vanilla Ice? Jason got a little embarrassed because as I was taking pictures the Realtor was like ," Isn't it fabulous?!? The tile work is exquisite! The fireplace is to die for, and the carpets are such a nice color!" I of course had to play along and simply told her ," I just can't believe all of this character! This is just stunning !!!!" We got out of this bad eighties home QUICK!

Just down the road was this little guy...........
Looks pretty plain right???WRONG!
You see....This was a custom built house done by a builder for his small family. His business went under in Alabama this year and he had to re-locate ....this house is now up for sale for a great price. If it wasn't so small, we would've been signing some papers today.Of course there were some things that made me say, hUh? But there were others that were just way cool..... I took some pictures of it's unique features :)

Two ceiling fans on the porch, complete with a baby blue painted ceiling

Weird, yet interesting entry way piece

These cabinets were part of a built in office.....this room had a desk built in and everything!

Entry way to dining room and kitchen

German Granite counter-tops....They were beautiful

I love a light and airy kitchen........this was perfect!!! and those big cabinet doors went all the way through to the other side, so no pots and pans could ever get lost :)

Built in spice rack........

Maple hardwoods....The house smelled amazing.......Do you see the office right by the front door?

This lighting fixture was in the master....Not my taste....But it still added to the quirkiness of this house :) The builder got this piece from Spain.....I think I might have left it there...;p

More spanish fixtures to go by the bed....oddly placed and seem to match the auburn paint scheme.....But I still absolutely love these floors !

One final bedroom and this house was complete....I told you it was tiny!! But very warm and cozy too :) One bad thing.....NO FIREPLACE! I love a fireplace, and this house was lacking......

BARK IN THE PARK 2010 = SUCCESS!

Even though George acted a little " too cool for canines" today, We still managed to have a blast at Bark in the Park .... George walked away with a new Auburn Bandanna and Jason and I indulged in the bake sale . Hey, those chocolate covered peanut clusters helped donate to the Humane Society! !

*** In other news, I got a new job!!!! I am so excited and trying to prep myself into becoming a real, live working woman! That means professional working clothes and everything! Now, this might sound silly to some of you, but for the past year, I have worn SCRUBS to work. I mean, you are much less likely to get upset with a toddler for throwing up or spilling paint on you when you are wearing clothes that don't matter. Trust me, I learned the hard way. My sweet husband is so excited for me and got me a little present to help establish my professional attire .....

My new friend is a light grey/lavender and she is much smaller in person... I would say the camera adds 5 or 10 to her figure......I have been wanting this little lady for a while and Jason said I deserved it :)

As for my current job, only 2 more short weeks with my sweet babies. I love seeing them everyday and don't know what I am going to do without them, or their 3 hour nap-time in the middle of the day.... that is a major perk. But I know God has got me going in the right direction. It amazes me still that I was not even looking for  a new work opportunity, until it found me. As only a true southerner can say, God is good y'all!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and makes it through the Monday Blues tomorrow! I am just going to look forward to the weekend when I get to celebrate a very special birthday........

My very talented friend Sunny Jones took this picture of my sweet friend Jamie's little buttercup McKenzie

Is she not a doll?

Jason, George and I cannot wait to celebrate with you on Saturday !

Much love as always and I promise not to be gone as long this time ;),
