In a nutshell........

So this week was quite the crazy one. Not only did school start this week * my class is full of sweeties * but I ( or should I say we ) experienced my FIRST hair catastrophe as well. You never truly appreciate your hair until someone turns it grey........:p Don't worry though, I should be back to normal in oh... like a week or two..cross your fingers xx Other than the hair drama in the house, we had a pretty good week and an even better weekend! Since Jason is about to start working 60 hours a week, and our weekends will soon not be as eventful, we are going to utilize the Saturdays we have now as much as we can :)


 So we packed up the car ..... and the pug

and headed to Perry County this weekend for the 6th annual Scales Family Dove shoot :) 








and yes that is a real gun! haha












Nothing like the smell of birds and football in the air :) This year my sister Lauren, my brother-in-law Jason ( yes 2 Jasons!) , my niece Savannah and pod Patrick ( my sister is pregnant! and we call her the pod until she has an official name ) all joined in on the fun ~ aren't they cute in their matching camo :)

Savannah loved every minute of the weekend..............

I think my boys did too....

It was so nice to just chill out and be with family ..... not to mention all the crazy good food we ate! On Sunday, we got back just in time to make it to a fun band party on Lake Martin to celebrate the end of Summer :) 

This summer was a good one, but I am pumped about the start of this football season and the fall festivities :) Not to mention, the weather is pretty much PERFECT these days.....Alabama heat is way overrated! 

Now the agenda for today : Labor day: I plan on spit shining our humble abode while jamming out to some Reba, then having some buddies over for a hot-dog/hamburger cook-out around 4 :) Nothing too fancy, and that's the way I like it..........
