Christmas 2014/ Trip to Mobile/ 23 weeks

What a wonderful Christmas it has been ! Although we spent the majority of it with coughs and colds spread throughout the house, I am happy to say that we are all feeling much better and we are ready to get back to reality tomorrow morning!

going to lay out reindeer food

carrying cookies for Santa

Blakely and I spent Christmas night watching movies by the fire, as Jason was quarantined to our bedroom because he didn't feel good..... We knew we had a long day ahead of us!
His favorite Christmas Movie was "Home Alone"

We left for Mobile the day after Christmas to meet our newest family member "Jake"! The family named all of the puppies initially so that they could be distinguished apart, so his original name was "Sam", as seen in this video........

That was a squeaky toy you heard................
this is Callie, Jake's mama. She looks just like Roger, so Blakely kept calling her that!

Blakely was crying because he didn't want me to help him hold his puppy. He was in full two year old mode here.....

day 2 visiting the puppies

Blakely and Jake/ December 2014

Jake and Rover. I liked Rover a lot too, but he was more "vocal" than Jake

We stayed right next door to the puppies at  The Kate Shepard House. Bill and Wendy James were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home! I was nervous at first to have my two year old mixed with all the antiques, but he settled in just fine :)

loved her beautiful china!!

Blakely and I enjoying the porch

This is Beau BEAR. Blakely was convinced he was a bear anyways.....

Breakfast was DIVINE! Praline french toast, eggs, bacon and satsumas from the neighbors back yard!

The bathtub was wonderful! Reminded us of our old Tuskeena House in Wetumpka

Our cozy bedroom

We ate dinner at The Bike Shop, per advice from lots of different friends. The food was great and it was loud enough where our busy kiddo didn't get the " why do you have a kid in here" kind of stares :) I ordered pregnant friendly Sushi from Liquid next door and Oh my was it delish.

We then went and had Ice Cream at Serdas and Blakely kept hugging Jason thanking him for being so nice . LOL . He was cracking us up!

We went to the playground at Oyster House and checked out Felix's as well!
We got home yesterday afternoon after driving through a monsoon of rain and eating at the world's slowest Pizza Hut. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and we plan on going back again at the end of January to pick up our new puppy!!   Now for a pregnancy update....

Weight Gain: 14 lbs : I think my weight is leveling out a little bit since last month! Plus, I  have been sick and my taste buds have been out of whack!

How am I feeling??: pretty awesome.

Foods I love: I continue to crave california rolls, which isn't good for a girl who lives out in the country; closest Sushi is about 45 mins away. no bueno.

What I am looking forward to?: Bringing our new pup home, baby showers in February, WAIT WHAT?! and starting off 2015 with a bang! It's gonna be a great year!

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and got to celebrate with the ones you love!
