7 months later.....

Hello old friends,
It sure has been a while....Seven months to be exact!! The Lord has blessed us with so many changes over the past few months and having an active 18 month old is just icing on the cake! The point of this post is to give you a quick update on my family, while also letting you know that you won't being seeing us for a little while on our favorite social media sites. Here's the deal..... In a nut shell, we are currently living with the in-laws, as we have recently bought Jason's childhood home. They are in the process of building and so for the last three months, they have let us bunk up in their humble abode. Blakely's Mimi has lived here for the past 30 years, so I'm sure she is loving having Blakely "help" her pack 30 years of memories. In case you didn't know, our last house sold in TEN days and closed in THIRTY, so moving was a very quick process for us. The hardest part was taking turns distracting the little guy so that we could get things in a box before he decided to pull it back out! A similar scene is happening here once again, as Blakely is enjoying the "packing experience" once again!! We hope that in a couple months, we will all be settled into our new homes and you know what is exciting??? We don't plan on ever moving again!! I never thought that I would love being a "country girl" but being out here has made me appreciate the simple things. It is going to be a wonderful place to raise our little boy......While we are on the subject of Blakely.... I just have to let you know that he is JUST as happy as he looks in pictures. I mean seriously, this kid cracks us up daily. Sure he gets a hand pop every  now and again ( mostly for hitting George ) but overall he ROCKS. It makes us scared to have another one because he is so well mannered and content. That isn't going to determine if we have any more children though; that is HIS plan.
2014 begins our 2nd year operating Jetscape Landscaping and I am excited about what this year holds! We have established a great customer base and love adding new clients on a daily basis! Call/email us if you need a little yard sprucing, because I got a good lookin' hubby that you fix you right up ! Shameless plug , jasontaunton07@yahoo.com if you have any landscaping questions!  I am still working a full time job, so I help with Jetscape at night and on my time off. Blakely is a day care kid and loves every second of it......He moves up to his "big boy" class tomorrow, but I refuse to cry when I drop him off. Why do mother's find these things so emotional?!?
A lot of our friends have been posting about 21 days of a social media fast. I realize this is centered around days of prayer and I believe Church of the Highlands started this movement. Although I do not attend Highlands ( FIRST BAPTIST WETUMPKA REPRESENT!! ), I have decided to take part of this act of worship as well. I spend WAYYYY too much time on social media I feel like...... I don't really do much other than post pics of my cute kid and stare at yours, but since I don't have time during the day, the only time I check my favorite sites ( mainly instagram), is when I am at home...... and that should be family time. I do however check my phone in the mornings, and I am going to do better about picking up my bible instead. I think the reason I decided to post this was mainly to hold myself accountable and encourage my other friends to do the same. As a former weight watchers girl, I know accountability is key. I rely on my Christian Sistas to keep me in check. So, don't be sad if you don't see B...or George... or Jason gracing your phone/computer screen for the next few weeks, know that God is making a difference in our home by allowing me to spend more time with them and HIM. Big things are happening here.... BIG THINGS People!

We love you all
xoxo,
The Tauntons
