Blakely Month 8

BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING UP IN HERE!!

 Your eighth month ROCKED and was full of changes!

Not really "just hatched" but this shirt cracked me up with you in it!

           1) YOU NOW SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT!!

That's right, at 7 1/2 months old you FINALLY decided to sleep through the night :) Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU! However, I have to admit... I don't really notice much of a difference in getting a full 8 hours. I guess we just adjusted?? You still go to bed at 7:00 ( I try to keep you up later, but you pretty much pass out around 6:55) and wake up around 6:00 am

          2) You drink formula.

You didn't explode. Your tummy didn't hurt all night long. and you didn't projectile spit up like I thought you would. Truth is, I was scared as all get out of what "FORMULA" would do to you. As an exclusive breast feedin' mama, I really wanted to try to nurse until you turned one. But truth is, breastfeeding was my FOURTH job. Not only was I a wife, a mom and a full-time employee, I was also struggling to keep up the pumping around the clock when I was not with you. My milk supply began to suffer and I really think you not sleeping through the night had something to do with my supply issues, but I am not sure. You now drink half formula/ half breast milk bottles at school each day, plus a 5 oz formula/BM bottle at night. I am pumping enough to keep up this ratio, plus I have milk to nurse you in the mornings. Formula is my new best friend, besides you of course ;)

          3) You are MOBILE!

You aren't quite crawling, but boy are you close! You pull up on things, mostly your Mama....

You and your snoring pig named Arnold

 and you are getting up on all fours to rock back and fourth! Your daddy and I need to start Blakely proofing the house, because you are going to be all over the place before we know it!!

         4) You are a copy cat! You mimic your daddy and I all the time!! You love to "talk"

         5) You love cheerios :) And snacks.... any SNACKS! You also love MASHED POTATOES!

I am waiting on you to get your first tooth! Every now and then you will have a rough night where you wake up SCREAMING bloody murder and we give  you some tylenol to go back to sleep. I think it's teething, but nothing ever shows ! It hasn't happened in a while though and from what I read/hear, the later the teeth the better !!

On our scale at home you weigh around 18.9 lbs. CHUNK-A-MUNK!! We love your thunder thighs! We also love your sweet personality that goes along with them ! You don't meet a stranger, make singing noises when you are happy and still love blondes ;) We wouldn't change you for the world!! We still aren't sure who you look like more......... Your Mama??

Either way, You are adorable!

Those eyelashes are to die for!!

George is still your best pal....................

He lets you grab his tail, yank his legs and even pull out a wad of hair every now and then.

 He is a good dog.

And you are FINALLY GETTING SOME HAIR!!

March is going to be full of fun times!! Tonight you got to experience your first baseball practice!

Your daddy is a coach with the youth minister at our church and they have been rocking the ball fields in Wetumpka for three years together. It is so much fun to watch the kids play! You will especially like watching your God brother Lew !

 You will also get to hunt Easter eggs and hopefully meet the Easter bunny!! I hope to post your 8 month pics tomorrow before we head to the RODEO during the day tomorrow!! YEEE HAWW!!
