Hello Third Trimester!
I have been dying to meet you!! Everyday of this pregnancy has been a journey, but a pretty breezy one that I am thankful for! This past week has been awesome. Blakely moves likes CRAZY; he constantly flips around and I can tell when I am doing something he doesn’t like very much. For example, he really doesn’t enjoy it when I sit up at work to work on the computer. I mean literally, I am a human punching bag whenever I am sitting at my desk. A co-worker of mine told me that she was a little sad once she had her boys, because she couldn’t feel them moving around anymore. I think I might feel the same way, because whenever I am having a bad moment in the day and this little guy kicks me, I automatically get a smile on my face. Its like, “hey mom, we are in this together”!! I have had TONS of energy this past week, which is so different from the earlier weeks in pregnancy. I have a feeling I am going to need plenty of it until baby B gets here; two beach trips, little league games and four baby showers are all to come in the next two months!
Non-Baby News:
Jason is in his busy season with landscaping and coaching a 9-10 year old little league team with Mr. Bart again. I love going to watch their games and go to as many as I can so that I can support the little guys! I will just have to serve as Lew’s (aka Jason’s best friend) aunt until Blakely is old enough to play :) So here is a sweet story: Jason made Lew a necklace for his birthday last year that was made out of a homerun ball he hit when he was younger…..Lew hit a homerun ball the other night and was panicking to find it so he could make a necklace for Blakely. How stinkin’ cute is that?!
I had the opportunity to head home to Linden this week to spend time with my sweet friend Emily who lost her Daddy this weekend. My heart still breaks for her loss, but I am thankful for the time that I was able to spend with her and the future Dr. Alicia Glass. I cannot wait until all four of the girls get together in May for a much needed reunion! I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of junk food and chick flicks going on in the Taunton Household that weekend… now who has a place for Mr. T to stay? :)
Official Countdown: 84 days :)
Current Belly Measurements: 39 inches
Weight Gain: 19 lbs
How am I feeling??: Much better than last week. I met two new friends this week that aid in my ailments…..TUMS and Palmer’s cocoa butter. I think I might be getting a stretch mark. EEK. I coat my tummy with that chocolate smelly stuff as much as possible, in hopes of turning the pink monster in the other direction. Momma no like.
Foods I love: Sweet tea with tons of lemon. YUM!
My current “no thank you foods”: I am slowly allowing meat to come back into my life in form of chicken. His friends will still have to wait a little while……. I have also identified what foods give me heartburn ( pizza, sharp cheese, acidic foods) so I try to stay away from those as well…..except Tomatoes; they still have my heart !
What I am looking forward to?: Pretty much the month of MAY! It is so crazy that this time last year I was prepping everyone for my birthday celebration day on April 29th, but this year I am comfortable with breezing right by it! Don’t be too shocked, I am sure this feeling will pass and I will be back to loving my birthday week/day/month, as usual :) May is the month of baby showers :) BRING IT!
Happy of the week: My nana got Blakely a Sophie toy!! Sophies are all the rage and although I might have a love/hate relationship with the squeaky by the end of the day, I hear she can also be a lifesaver all the same!
P.s. Colton just rocked it leaving American Idol.
Worshiping an amazing God OUT LOUD AND PROUD.
That was amazing......
He took a stand for his faith in front of America...
way cool.

You are a beautiful Mommy-to-be and Papa Vernon and I love you so much. Guess what?--our tomatoe are blooming. I'll keep my promise you will have one from the first picking.
